After decades away, a beloved Roswell tradition from the 80’s/90’s returns-reimagined for today’s creative community. The Festival of the Painted Rock is back, blending art, music, and nature in a one-of-a-kind outdoor celebration.

Why “Painted Rock”?
The festival’s name was inspired by the Chattahoochee River, whose Creek language name means “rocks-marked” or “painted.” Local legend tells of granite formations along the riverbanks, likened to turtles basking in the sun-a symbol of the natural beauty and cultural spirit that shapes our community.

Why We Celebrate

The Festival of the Painted Rock is more than a day of celebration-it’s an investment in Roswell’s creative future. Your ticket supports Roswell Arts Fund and the Chattahoochee Nature Center, fueling public art, cultural vibrancy, and environmental education for all.

Art and nature have the power to bring people together, spark imagination, and strengthen our community. By joining us, you help make Roswell a destination where creativity and conservation thrive side by side-making our city a more vibrant, welcoming place for everyone.
